Download Lineage OS For Galaxy S4 jfltexx Nougat 7.1.1.Lineage os is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway. Lineageos galaxy S4 (i9500, i9505, i9505G, i9506)





Before Starting

Take care of following tasks before you proceed with flashing custom ROM:
Task 1: Install USB drivers for your device on your PC.

 Task 2: Be sure to backup your data including Contacts, SMS / MMS, APN & MMS Settings as well as photos and videos stored on your device’s internal or external storage.

 Task 3: Make sure that your device is well charged. Ideally, the battery level should be around 60-80%. The more the better.

 Task 4: USB Debugging should be enabled on your device.

 Important: Most of the custom ROM will not have Google Apps in them. So, you will have to download and install GApps manually.Also take nandroid backup before installing



Done with preliminary precautionary steps? So, here’s the guide:TWRP recovery let’s you do a number of cool stuff but the whole point of having a custom recovery is to be able to flash unsigned .zip files. These .zip files could be anything from a custom kernel, boot, recovery, MODs or full custom ROMs.



Let’s see how to flash a lineage os rom on Galaxy S4 using TWRP recovery.

How to Install a Lineage os ROM using TWRP Recovery


  1. Download and transfer the Lineage os ROM and Gapps for linage os you wish to flash to your device’s storage.
  2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery.
  3. Select “Wipe” from TWRP main menu and do a “Swipe to Factory Reset” on the bottom of screen.
    └ Note: This will factory reset your device. If your custom ROM doesn’t require a factory reset, then simply skip this step.
  4. Go back to TWRP main menu, tap on “Install” and select the Lineage os  ROM .zip file and gapps for lineage os that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
  5. After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.
  6. Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you’ll see “Wipe cache/dalvik” option, select it and then do “Swipe to wipe” on bottom of screen.
  7. Once cache & dalvik wipe completes, hit the “Back” button on-screen and then select “Reboot System” button.

      This rom is built for I9500 with Qualcomm processor. Yours should be with Exynos processor. I got the same problem due to the difference of processor. Unfortunately, there isn't too much custom or official rom built for s4 with Exynos processor.

      It will not work on jfltetmo. You will get an error:

      I flashed i9505 recovery for my Jfltetmo. I'm running Resurrection Remix 7.1.1. Not sure if LOS would work using the process. Had no issues.

    I have been following up with cyanogenmod there is no official support for i9500(non-lte version) because it is having Exynos processor for which Samsung has not released kernel sources, All we can do is flash unofficial rom which are published by JDC team.

    I install this ROM, but I Have problem with battery.
    Mobile take a lot time charging, then battery whith mobile in repose only I have for 2 hour.

    I did full wipe after to install the ROM.

    Any solutions?

    Hello Guys, Just curious, how the hell I enter ENGINEERING mode on this rom? Have tried numerous codes in dial pad - none of them work, I need to repair My IMEI... Don't want to downgrade to older versions of android. Have Galaxy s4 i9505, basicly, got this phone with Network issue (doesent connect to any network, though, it does find all available networks in settings menu, but simply Gives me no service + I ran ping test (only dial pad option that works lol), ofc, ping tests returned as failed. Also, comes up, that phone is not Blacklisted... and it shows correct imei number... tried reinstalling radio patches (alot of them, still, problem persists), so I just want to try playing around with IMEI changes e.t.c... so, yeah, anyone knows, how to enter Engineering mode on s4 i9505 and with this ROM? Would be grateful.

    i9506 does not flash. I tried all the 3 downloads but non of them worked. In TWRP it sais:

    E:unknown command [log]
    Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
    Error installing zip file '/externel_sd/LineageOs-...

    And the reason for this is that these packages are for device: jfltexx,i9505,GT-I9505,jgeslte,i9505g,GT-I9505G,jflte.

    Why does it say otherwise in the header?

    Hello, we have a i9505 and installed version's ROM 14.1-20170120. We receive update by OTA, (for sample version 20140329, but this happened with every new version) the download is correct, but next step it's show a error message it say 'verification failed. Corrupted or unsecured download"

    What can I do?

    I downloaded from website, I tried install file zip from TWR, but I have same error.

    I9505 When connecting to Bluetooth an trying to make a call, i have no microphone and no sound. playing music via bluetooth works perfetc. But No sound or microphone during calls. After disconnect from bluetooth the problems remains. I have then to disable bluetooth and reset the phone in order for sound and microphone to work again during calls

    I have disabeld options into lineagesos... now the os will not start stale. after seconds of boot the os will be restart angain...
    the save mod dose not run...
