Today in this guide we will show you how to enable root access in Lineage OS 16 rom based on android pie 9.0  without computer or PC. Then you can follow below simple steps to enable supersu and get root access on Lineage OS 16 roms. You need to flash supersu.zip on lineage os 16 rom. This is the latest Lineageos 16 rom based on the latest android os that is Android pie. You can root android Lineage OS easily without PC.

Lineage OS rom comes with inbuilt root access setting in developer option you just have to enable it for adb and apps and that is very simple to do. for enabling root or to root Lineage os follow below steps.

How to Enable Root Access In Lineage OS 16

1. Download  Super su.zip and place it in your device memory.

2. Then reboot your device into recovery mode.
3. Tap on “Install” in recovery mode and the select Super su v2.68.zip from your memory where you pasted it in 1st step.
4. Now After selecting the .zip file do “Swipe to confirm flash” at the bottom of the screen.
5. Once Flashed the Super SU vxxx.x.zip files reboot your device. 

 6. Done! You successfully rooted lineageos 16 rom

How to UnRoot Lineage OS 16


1. Download  Su removal.zip and place it in your device memory.
2. Then reboot your device into recovery mode.


3. Tap on “Install” in recovery mode and the select Super su v2.68.zip from your memory where you pasted it in 1st step.
4. Now After selecting the .zip file do “Swipe to confirm flash” at the bottom of the screen.
5. Once Flashed the Super su Su removal.zip files reboot your device. Done!

    blinking red and blue..hanging on lin16.0 ls990 tried rebooting numerous times. let it run for an hour each time.. just hangs

    i followed the above instructions on my OnePlus3 using TWRP and both Titanium Backup and SuperSu report "no root". i also see from the xda-developers forum that others have had difficulties obtaining root with LineageOS 16. Grrr - lol.

    Sony Xperia XA2 , I have flashed addonsu-16.0 & SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5 seperatley and together. Still no root. All I have in developer options is the choice for ADB only

    That link for superSu and Remove Super Su IS NOT for Lineage 16, IS FOR LINEAGE 14 !!!

    That superSU Root Removal.zip for Lineage OS16, useless. Some bank apps not run on Lineage OS 16 installed on Samsung Note 3 SM-9005
